Yuriko, the life story of an American Japanese Dancer
Yuriko is the biographical story of a Japanese American dancer, whose adventure began with a difficult immigration to America as a little girl during the troubling times of World War II. She triumphed over racial stereotypes and became one of the world’s most respected and praised dancers of our time.
Her life story was lovingly penned and self-published by one of her most admired students, Emiko Tokunaga, who herself became a successful dancer and choreographer and now heads the Tokunaga Dance Studio at the Boston Conservancy. |
